Betting on golf has increased dramatically in popularity over recent years. Two different types of
bet on golf are offered;
The first is bet on golf on the winner of the event with odds, generally ranging from about 7/1 to 70/1, being offered on all golf players. These odds are then adjusted after each round of play.

Although golf is usually an individual sport, an exception to this is every two years the top American and European players meet in the Ryder Cup with the venue alternating between the two continents. Each countries team has 12 players, 10 of whom are determined by rankings based on their performances on their respective golf tours and selected major golf events, with the team captain nominating the other two players. These players then meet in head-to-head singles and doubles match-ups.
