Should Smoking Be Allowed In Bingo Halls

To a bingo player, smoking has become a very hot topic when it comes to smoking in a public place. To make the matter worse, charities ( that operate the land based bingos here ) are looking for an exemption to the no smoking in public laws. The charities try to persuade the law makers that they should be exempt from the no smoking law and or should be allowed to put in a specifically designated smoking room. These charities estimate they have lost as much as 50 per cent of their revenues because of the ban on smoking in public places. They also say the no smoking law is causing hardship for our charities and for the people who rely on these charities for help. The charities defend their position by say if charities have to abandon these needy people because of restrictions put on the charities by these no smoking laws then the governments implimenting these laws will be forced to look after the needy instead.
The problem could be solved by allowing separate rooms for smoking and non-smoking bingo players. The governments who made these no smoking laws say they willnot compromise its law. After implementing touch no smoking laws, it would be a mistake to change the law to allow smoking rooms as it would look like the lawmakers backed down. The lawmakers say the bottom line is that you can't choose money over public health and safety. They feel they did the right thing and should continue to stand their ground with no exceptions.
